Engaging in a reflective dialogue about your teaching is a powerful way to hone and make informed decisions about your teaching practice. Teaching consultations are flexible, confidential conversations about anything related to teaching.  

Some examples of topics include: 

  • course design,  

  • navigating tricky moments with students,  

  • student engagement,  

  • teaching statements, 

  • making sense of teaching evaluations, and 

  • syllabus design. 

Consultations are free, voluntary, confidential, and available to any University of Iowa instructor.
