New TA Orientation

The Center for Teaching will host a special New Teaching Assistant Orientation (NTAO) from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, Jan. 16, 2026.

This in-person event will introduce participants to the role of teaching assistant at the University of Iowa. NTAO is geared toward any TA interested in developing practical teaching skills and increasing their knowledge of pedagogy. It is especially beneficial to anyone who will be a TA at the UI for the first time.

Register online by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 14.
