Co-sponsored by the Center for Teaching and the Graduate College

Design your Teaching-as-Research (TAR) study in this hands-on workshop series for graduate students and postdocs. Reflect on your teaching, explore evidence of student learning, and earn CIRTL Practitioner level certification. During this workshop series, you will develop a teaching-focused research question and design a brief study to investigate it.

Workshop Schedule (via Zoom, noon-1 p.m.):

Tuesday, Feb. 17
Thursday, Feb. 19
Tuesday, Feb. 24
Thursday, Feb. 26
Tuesday, Mar. 3
Thursday, Mar. 5

Participants may choose whether or not to carry out their TAR studies after the workshop series. If you are close to graduating, simply designing and proposing a project is a valuable opportunity for reflective teaching practice.

Eligibility: To earn CIRTL Practitioner level certification for this workshop series, participants must have completed the CIRTL Associate level through a teaching-related course or at least five teaching-related workshops. For details, visit the CIRTL @ Iowa website.
